Property Management Home
Property Management is responsible for management and disposition of real property owned or leased by the County and for the maintenance and disposition of property acquired through tax foreclosure. This office negotiates and drafts leases for office space on behalf of all county departments, whether the County is the lessor or the lessee. The property management office also provides assistance in right-of-way acquisition and other specialized services to county departments.
Deschutes County owns approximately 650 properties ranging from 1/10 of an acre to over 1500 acres. Management of these lands consists of defining appropriate uses for different parcels, cleaning up illegal dumpsites, fire hazard reduction, property exchanges (sales, transfers), and various other activities associated with real property.

Trustees Sales: These sales are non-judicial. These sales are published in a newspaper. The Sheriff’s Office has no information regarding Trustees Sales, but is happy to assist those that contact their office. The procedures regarding Trustees Sales can be found in ORS 86.705 – 86.795. As far as we know, there is no list of properties being sold by trustees/banks. Deschutes County Property Management is not involved in bank foreclosures.
