Non-represented Employee Group
Non-represented employees are management, confidential and hourly employees who do not belong to any bargaining association or group. Non-represented employees are appointed from a group of qualified applicants through a competitive recruitment and selection process. Newly hired employees serve a twelve-month probationary period prior to achieving regular employee status. Deschutes County typically offers the same benefits package to non-represented employees as it does to its represented employees; however, budgetary and other administrative considerations may take precedence when administering salary adjustments or maintaining benefits.
