Electronic Waste (E-Waste)

The Oregon E-Cycles Program, one of the nation’s first statewide electronics recycling programs, provides free recycling of electronics. Oregon E-Cycles is an example of a producer responsibility program, a waste management strategy that requires producers to share in the responsibility for the end-of-life management of their products and materials. Since operations began in 2009, the program has collected over 300 million pounds of electronic devices, preventing toxins from entering Oregon landfills and recovering precious and rare earth metals for new electronics. Learn why e-cycling is important through the Oregon DEQ.

Oregon E-Cycles collection sites provide FREE recycling to anyone bringing seven or fewer items for recycling at one time. If your television, computer, monitor, or printer is in working condition, consider reuse, repair and/or donation. These are accepted Negus and Knott Recycling centers.
