Weekly Road Construction Update - April 20 to April 26

Projects Administered by Deschutes County:

Hamehook Road Bridge Replacement (Bend Area) – Crews will be striping the roadway, as well as stormwater channel and fencing work.

Traffic Information – On Tuesday, April 22, during work hours, road users should expect single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers, with delays of up to 20 minutes for striping work. Please use caution and watch for construction vehicles and equipment entering and exiting the roadway. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Projects Administered by Other Agencies:

U.S. 97: Terrebonne (Oregon Department of Transportation) – Crews will be doing excavation and grading work on Lower Bridge Way near U.S. 97.

Traffic Information – Beginning on April 21, Lower Bridge Way will be closed to traffic between U.S. 97 and Morning Glory Drive. Traffic will detour via NW 19^th Street and NW Davidson Way. 11^th Street remains closed to traffic between C Avenue north to U.S. 97. Within other work areas, road users should use caution and watch for construction vehicles and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.

Northwest Way Utility Work (City of Redmond) – Crews will be doing utility work on Northwest Way near NW Spruce Avenue.

Traffic Information – Beginning on April 21, Northwest Way will be closed to through traffic between NW Maple Avenue and NW Upas Avenue. Traffic will detour via NW Maple Avenue, NW 35^th Street and NW Upas Avenue. Access will be maintained for local traffic.

Deschutes Market Road / Yeoman Road Intersection Closure (City of Bend) – Deschutes Market Road will be closed to traffic at the intersection with Yeoman Road for roundabout construction.

Traffic Information – Beginning on April 14, Deschutes Market Road will be closed to traffic at Yeoman Road. A detour route is in place via Deschutes Market Road, Hamehook Road and Butler Market Road.

Inquiries pertaining to this closure should be directed to the City of Bend Transportation and Mobility Department.

Knott Road Closure (City of Bend) – Knott Road will be closed to traffic between China Hat Road and Country Club Drive for irrigation work.

Traffic Information – Knott Road remains closed to through traffic between China Hat Road and Country Club Drive. A detour route is in place via China Hat Road, Parrell Road, Murphy Road and Country Club Drive. Access will be maintained for local traffic during construction.

Woodside Drive Irrigation Crossing (Arnold Irrigation District) – No work will be occurring.

Traffic Information – Woodside Drive is open to traffic between Pine Vista Drive and Rusticate Road with temporary gravel surfacing. Traffic should use caution when navigating the gravel-surfaced area.

Other Road Impacts:

Cascade Lakes Highway Closed – Cascade Lakes Highway is closed to traffic between Mt. Bachelor and FS Road 4270 for the winter. The Deschutes County Road Department will aim to remove the snow that accumulates over the winter season and open Cascade Lakes Highway prior to Memorial Day 2025, weather permitting.

Paulina Lake Road Closed – Paulina Lake Road is closed to traffic east of the Ten Mile Sno-Park for the winter. The Deschutes County Road Department will aim to remove the snow that accumulates over the winter season and open Paulina Lake Road prior to Memorial Day 2025, weather permitting.
