Weekly Road Construction Update - March 23 to March 29

Projects Administered by Deschutes County:
Hamehook Road Bridge Replacement (Bend Area) – Crews will be paving and installing guardrail.
Traffic Information – There will be a 24-hour, single-lane closure on Hamehook Road through April 14. Road users should expect delays of up to 20 minutes. Pioneer Loop will be closed at Hamehook Road until March 28. A signed detour route is in place via Deschutes Market Road and Hamehook Road.
Wilcox Avenue Bridge Removal (Terrebonne Area) – Crews will be installing culvert on Wilcox Avenue between NE 33rd Street and Lambert Road.
Traffic Information – NE Wilcox Avenue is closed to traffic between NE 33rd Street and Lambert Road for bridge removal work. A signed detour route is in place via NW 33rd Street and Smith Rock Way.
Projects Administered by Other Agencies:
U.S. 97: Terrebonne (Oregon Department of Transportation) – Crews will be doing concrete work on 11th Street between C Avenue and U.S. 97. There will also be utility work along 11th Street and Smith Rock Way.
Traffic Information – 11th Street remains closed to traffic between C Avenue north to U.S. 97. Signed detour routes are in place. Within other work areas, road users should use caution and anticipate construction vehicles and equipment entering and exiting the roadway.
Knott Road Utility Work (City of Bend) – Crews will be doing water utility work on Knott Road east of 15th Street.
Traffic Information – There will be intermittent single-lane closures, facilitated by flaggers. Road users should expect delays.
Woodside Drive Irrigation Crossing (Arnold Irrigation District) – No work will be occurring.
Traffic Information – Woodside Drive is open to traffic with temporary gravel surfacing between Pine Vista Drive and Rusticate Road. Drivers should use caution when navigating the gravel-surfaced area.
Other Road Impacts:
Cascade Lakes Highway Closed – Cascade Lakes Highway is closed to traffic between Mt. Bachelor and FS Road 4270 for the winter. The Deschutes County Road Department will aim to remove the snow that accumulates over the winter season and open Cascade Lakes Highway prior to Memorial Day 2025, weather permitting.
Paulina Lake Road Closed – Paulina Lake Road is closed to traffic east of the Ten Mile Sno-Park for the winter. The Deschutes County Road Department will aim to remove the snow that accumulates over the winter season and open Paulina Lake Road prior to Memorial Day 2025, weather permitting.
