Weekly Road Construction Update - Sept. 29 to Oct. 5

Projects Administered by Deschutes County:

Asphalt Paving (Sisters Area) – Deschutes County crews will be performing asphalt paving work on the following roads (weather permitting):

  • Jordan Road
  • George Cyrus Road

Traffic Information – Road users should anticipate single lane closures facilitated by flaggers with delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours, 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Projects Administered by Other Agencies:

US 97: Terrebonne (Oregon Department of Transportation) – Crews will be doing excavation work on 11th Street between Smith Rock Way and US 97 in Terrebonne.

Traffic Information – 11th Street will be closed to through traffic from Smith Rock Way south to US 97. However, access for local traffic will be maintained during construction. A designated detour route is in place via US 97 and Smith Rock Way. Intermittent closures may also be occurring on Central Avenue, C Avenue and Smith Rock Way between 11th Street and US 97. Road users should also expect delays on adjacent local roadways.

Other Road Impacts:

Huntington Road & Burgess Road Utility Work (La Pine Area) – Asphalt paving work may be occurring where Burgess Road and Huntington Road intersect with Glenwood Road.

Traffic Information – Intermittent single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers may be occurring on Burgess Road and Huntington Road. Road users should expect delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours.

River Summit Drive/ FS 45 Closure (Sunriver Area) – River Summit Drive/Forest Service Road 45 is closed to traffic until further notice due to fire activity.

Traffic Information – River Summit Drive/Forest Service Road 45 is closed to traffic. Use alternate route.
