Requirements for Obtaining Residential Certificate of Occupancy

 
Your request will be denied if the following are not completed:
  1. The Insulation Certificate uploaded to the permitClick here for instructions on how to upload to the permit.  
  2. All related permits, including temporary power, driveway access, and septic installation have approved final inspections or Certificate of Satisfactory Completion (if applicable).
  3. All Final Inspections Approved which includes Building, Plumbing, Electrical and Mechanical Final Inspections.
  4. System Development Charge (SDC Fees) must be paid in full. 
    • Visit the pay fees webpage to see if any fees are outstanding: Pay Fees 
    • SDC fees are due for replacement dwellings if the original dwelling was removed more than 2 years prior to final inspection on replacement dwelling.
  5. Final Planning and Infrastructure approval from City of La Pine or City of Sisters if New Dwelling is constructed in their jurisdictions

Requirements for Commercial Certificate of Occupancy

  • All Conditions of Approval for Building and Planning must be met. You can find Structural Permit conditions in the documents section of the Commercial Structural Permit.
  • Third Party Inspection reports must be uploaded to the permit when applicable. Please refer to Special Inspection Agreement for third party inspection requirements.
  • Related Supplemental Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing permits must have approved final inspections.
  • Final Building inspection must be approved
  • System Development Charge (SDC Fees) must be paid in full.
