Building Inspection Requirements
What is required for Inspections?
- Work being inspected must be ready by 8 AM on inspection day. AM/PM requests are not guaranteed!
- All Contractors must be listed on permit prior to calling for an inspection.
- Inspections that are not scheduled will need to be scheduled for another day. Ensure all inspections you are wanting to be conducted for the selected day are scheduled.
- For safety of our inspectors, all pets must be put in a separate area from Inspectors.
- Gate code information must be included in inspection notes, if applicable.
- ALL permits require a Final Building, Final Electrical, Final Plumbing, or Final Mechanical Inspection

Electrical Inspections

Mechanical Inspections
- For Wood stove permits, the installation manual must be available to Inspectors to verify clearances.
- If a Flue or Woodstove pipe has been used, a chimney sweep will need to be performed prior to inspection. Chimney sweep receipt must be supplied to Inspector for verification.
Plumbing Inspections
- Water must be turned on for inspections to occur.
