Code Enforcement - RV Regulation DCC 18.116.095
To qualify as an RV, the vehicle must be:
- DMV licensed as motorhome or camper – The vehicle or trailer must be titled as a motorhome or camper.
- Self-propelled or readily towable – The vehicle must be able to be moved from a location and must be considered mobile. No permanent attachments to the ground or not mobile structures are allowed.
- Built on a single chassis – The vehicle must consist of only one chassis.
- Under 400sq ft. – The total square footage of the vehicle must be under 400 square feet.
- Self-Contained Wastewater – The vehicle must have wastewater tanks that are held within the vehicle itself, and are able to be dumped or pumped lawfully.
Vacant Lot – Temporary use 30/60 days.
- No land use/permits required for intermittent use.
- No wastewater approval required, but wastewater must be disposed of in a lawful manner.
- Days can be staggered, occupied every other week/day/month would be acceptable.
Vacant lot – Temporary use for contiguous 6 Months.
- Land use approval required through the planning department.
- Wastewater management approval required as part of the land use approval.
- Allowed with approval for 6 Months per calendar year.
Lot with an established dwelling or home – Storage Only
- No uses for the RV other than maintenance or storage.
- Some exceptions for an RV or manufactured home with land use approval for a medical hardship through planning department.
