Building Permit Extension
Please choose one of the following options
1. Schedule an Inspection – If you have made progress at your job site or are ready for an inspection, please visit our inspection page for information on how to schedule an inspection. An approved inspection will extend the permit another 180 days.
OR
2. Extension Request – To apply for a 180-day extension for the permit(s) that are expired simply fill out this online form to get additional time to finalize your permit. Extend My Permit. There are no fees associated with this one-time extension; however, the request does need to be reviewed for completeness.
Septic Permit Extension
If you need to extend your septic permit, use the extension form below, fees are applicable.
- Your septic permit may be renewed before the original septic permit expires if the original property owner has not changed.
- Your septic permit may be reinstated within one year (365 days) of the original permit expiration date if the original property owner has not changed.
- Your septic permit may be transferred before the original septic permit expires if no other changes are made except for the property owner.

Inspections can be scheduled online through Oregon State’s E-Permitting website or the E-Permitting App, which can be found in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store by searching for “Oregon ePermitting.” Alternatively, inspections can be scheduled by Phone, but may take longer due to our high volume of calls.
