Proposal Summary

The applicant requests approval of a Comprehensive Plan Amendment to change the designation of the subject property (279 Acres) from Agricultural (AG) and Surface Mining (SM) to Rural Residential Exception Area (RREA). The applicant also requests a corresponding Zone Change to rezone the subject property from Exclusive Farm Use – Tumalo/ Redmond/ Bend subzone (EFU-TRB) & Surface Mining (SM) to Rural Residential (RR10).

Proposal Status

An Open Record Period was established by the Hearings Officer and is as follows:

  • New Evidence and Testimony, 14-day period ending on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 4:00pm
  • Rebuttal Period, 7-day period ending on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 4:00pm
  • Final Legal Argument, 7-day period ending on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 4:00pm

A recommendation for approval was issued by the Hearings Officer on January 8, 2025. 

The Public Hearing before the Board of County Commissioners is scheduled for April 2, 2025. More information about the hearing and how to participate is forthcoming.
